How Do We Assess Learning in the 21st Century?
The K12 edition of the 2009 Horizon Report states that assessment and filtering are the two issues greatly impacting the degree at which technologies are adopted in classrooms. In terms of addressing need, I would like for a keynote speaker to talk about the challenge of assessment in technology rich environments. To include examples of how data can be collected and used to impact instruction in real time (through sms and online tools), and how teachers and admins can redesign formative and summative assessments to assess learning and literacies using 21st Century tools. It would be great if the session could include an interactive piece using mobile technologies like the debate at the last conference.
